Braille
We have the technology to manufacture all types of signage plates or panels in Braille.
Thanks to direct machining, we can achieve writing that meets the accessibility standards established by ONCE and, of course, with the greatest durability on the market.
Experience in accessibility projects
At Alumigraf we have extensive experience working on projects that improve the accessibility of buildings and public spaces for people with visual disabilities, such as the Madrid Metro accessibility project or the Quito Metro project.
In addition to offering all types of signage, lettering and adapted plates that incorporate the inscription in the Braille language, both in the case of the Madrid Metro and the Quito Metro, we install anodized aluminum plates with Braille inscriptions on the handrails of several stations and their accesses.
Accessibility and signage regulations for public buildings
We must bear in mind that the CTE (Technical Building Code) regulates signage in Braille. Public buildings, for example, are obliged to respond to the rights and needs of people with visual disabilities.
To do this, among others, the information must be displayed on plates with a Braille system, high relief and macro characters in places and situations such as information points, orientation plates, elevators, signage, vending machines, etc.
