Anodised aluminium control panels: maximum resistance and aesthetics

PBaS® anodised aluminium allows us to manufacture control panels from a single unit with full customisation and unrivalled resistance to external agents. Unlike conventional paint, anodising creates an aluminium oxide layer that becomes part of the metal itself: it does not peel, does not flake, and permanently protects the print.

This process is particularly valued in sectors such as electromedicine, industrial automation and premium appliances, where the control panel serves as both user interface and aesthetic element of the product. Colours are integrated into the anodic layer using electrolytic pigments, enabling deep blacks, golds, bronzes and natural aluminium finishes with a uniformity impossible to achieve with paint.

Manufacturing process and customisation

Each panel starts from an aluminium sheet cut to size using laser or CNC. Windows for displays, holes for pushbuttons and indicators are machined, and text and graphics are applied by high-resolution screen printing before anodic sealing. The result is a front panel where the printed information is protected within the metal structure itself.

The versatility of the process allows both unit prototypes and industrial series of thousands of units, maintaining the same quality in each piece. Matt and gloss zones can be combined, selective tactile textures added and reliefs incorporated to improve the ergonomics of the panel.
