Polycarbonate overlays function as a visual interface between the user and the equipment. They are printed in reverse (subsurface printing) so that the inks are protected by the laminate itself, preventing wear from abrasion or contact with cleaning products.
The adhesives used — generally 3M series 467 or 468 — guarantee permanent bonding on metal, plastic or painted surfaces, without the need for additional mechanical elements. The selection of polycarbonate thickness (usually between 125 and 500 microns) depends on the required relief depth and the desired rigidity of the final piece.

Each adhesive pushbutton overlay is designed according to the equipment plan, adapting Pantone colours, iconography, transparent windows for LEDs and custom die-cuts.
