Adhesive honey label: regulatory compliance and commercial appeal

European honey labelling regulations require each jar to include specific information: product name, net weight, country of origin or blend of origins, batch, best before date and packer details. Adhesive honey labels integrate all this mandatory information in a design that also communicates the quality and artisanal character of the product.

The material must withstand accidental contact with honey, ambient moisture and condensation from storing jars in cool places. The most suitable substrates are polypropylene (water-resistant), coated paper with protective varnish and natural kraft paper that conveys artisanal image. The adhesive must bond firmly to glass, plastic and tinplate even in the presence of fatty residues.

Each beekeeper can differentiate their product with labels that reflect their brand, geographic area, honey type (wildflower, rosemary, orange blossom, forest, eucalyptus) and, optionally, certifications such as organic production or designation of origin.
