Plastic adhesive labels: resistance where paper cannot reach

Plastic adhesive labels are manufactured in synthetic materials — vinyl, polypropylene, polyester or polyethylene — that offer performance conventional paper cannot match. They withstand water immersion, contact with oils and solvents, abrasion from repeated handling and temperature cycles ranging from freezing to the heat of a sterilisation process.

These properties make them essential in sectors such as the chemical industry (GHS labelling of hazardous products), food (moisture and cold contact), pharma (autoclave sterilisation), automotive (lubricant and engine temperature exposure) and outdoor logistics (rain, sun and thermal variations). The plastic surface accepts high-resolution four-colour printing and is compatible with barcodes, QR codes and small body texts that maintain legibility throughout the product service life.

Plastic labels are supplied in reel, sheet or individually die-cut, depending on the application method: manual, semi-automatic or on a production line. The finish can be transparent (no-label effect), opaque white, metallised or coloured.
