Adhesive metal labels: identification without drilling
Adhesive metal labels are thin plates of aluminium, stainless steel or brass that carry a high-adhesion adhesive on their reverse, protected by a peelable liner. This format allows them to be installed on machinery, appliances, furniture, vehicles or packaging without tools or holes in the target surface.
The adhesive can be acrylic (good temperature and solvent resistance) or foam (compensates for surface irregularities and absorbs vibration). In industrial applications where the plate is exposed to oils, moisture or chemical products, specific adhesives are selected that maintain fixing in extreme conditions.
Uses and advantages over mechanical fixing
Adhesive metal plates are used as brand logos on consumer products, inventory labels on business assets, electrical equipment signage and instruction plates on machinery. Their main advantage over screws is that they do not alter the mounting surface: they create no perforations that could compromise sealing, manufacturer warranty or structural integrity.
Typical thicknesses range from 0.1 mm (flexible labels that conform to curves) to 1 mm (rigid plates with the presence of conventional plates).
