Entrance door plates are the first visual reference a visitor receives. A well-designed name plate for a door communicates professionalism in offices and practices, identifies homes in residential communities and adds personality to shops and studios.
They are manufactured in anodised aluminium, stainless steel, brass or methacrylate, with laser engraving, UV printing or screen printing. The choice of material depends on the building style, budget and level of outdoor exposure: exterior door plates require materials resistant to rain, solar radiation and temperature changes.
Directional plates and name plates for office doors
A directional plate serves a direct wayfinding function: it guides the user within a building indicating floors, departments, meeting rooms or toilets. In offices, door plates are often combined with a modular system that allows names and titles to be updated without replacing the entire plate, using sliding inserts or replaceable labels.
Name plates for doors are designed with typefaces legible at a distance (minimum 15 mm height for reading at 3 metres) and chromatic contrast between background and text, complying with accessibility recommendations for people with low vision.
Adhesive door plates and fixing systems
Adhesive door plates incorporate high-adhesion double-sided adhesive on the reverse, allowing quick and clean installation without drilling. Options are also available with decorative screws, cylindrical standoffs (floating effect) or magnetic fixing for metal doors. The customisable door plate accepts any combination of text, logo, pictogram and colour within the chosen dimensions.
Standard door plates start from 100x40 mm formats but can be custom-manufactured in any size and shape.
